Preposition of time (at, in, on) can be used with time words to show when something happens. We use specific prepositions of time with specific time words.

How to build

The prepositions at, in, and on come directly before the words for the days, months, years or hours.

We use in to talk about the year and the month.

We use on to talk about specific days.

• The party is on Monday.

We use at for a specific time.

• The party is at two o'clock.

• The party ends at midnight.
