Shillong in north east India broke the world record yesterday for the largest number of people playing the drums together. People travelled a long way, many on foot, from villages in the state in order to join in. A total of 7951 people played the drum at the same time, over seven hundred more than the old record. A state now holds two world records - it is the wettest place in the world as well.
