Image of SLD, PSL improves: poll

June 29, 2011 The image of the left-wing opposition Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) party and of the Polish People's Party (PSL), the junior partner in the ruling coalition, has improved since 2006, according to a poll by GfK Polonia for the Rzeczpospolita daily. The SLD is perceived by about 20% of respondents as pro-European, open and modern. The PSL is seen as a party supporting traditions (21%) and family values (13%), according to the paper.
