Government Launches Science Promotion Project for Youth

June 3, 2011 Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented the government's plan to build science promotion centers, small yet modern laboratories meant to encourage youth's interest in sciences, all over Poland, the daily Gazeta Wyborcza writes. Tusk compared the new project, which has just been launched in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie province, to the government's already pursued program of constructing football pitches in all Polish municipalities. One such center will cost no more than 1 million zlotys, with the central budget providing some 300,000 zlotys and the remainder coming from the EU subsidies, Tusk said at the opening ceremony of one such center in a town near the city of Torun.
