Interview with a writer

Reporter: I've just read your new book. I think it is amazing. Carington: I am happy to hear that. What did you like best? Reporter: The main character. Vic is fascinating and so brave. I love the part when he fights with a huge lion. The description of the jungle was so real. Have you ever been there? Carington: Yes, of course. I travel a lot, meet different people and collect their stories. I spent 5 months in the jungle. It was scary but very inspiring. Reporter: What about Vic? Is he a real person? Carington: No. I made him up. But I met a man just like Vic in the jungle. He was a traveler. He was very brave. I decided to create a character like that. Reporter: Are you happy with your book? Carington: Yes. I wanted to write an exciting book and I did. My fans like it and their opinion is very important. Reporter: Do you get many letters from your fans? Carington: Yes. But I don't have time to answer. So my assistant does it for me. Reporter: You got the Best Writer's Award last year. Were you excited? Carington: Yes. I always wanted to win this and finally I did. Reporter: What did you do with the statue? Carington: I gave it to my grandmother. She is my biggest fan. Reporter: Thank you for the interview. I am looking forward to reading your new book.
