Around 2.5% of the planet's water is fresh water. The rest is salt water. It usually takes between 50 and 100 litres to have an average shower. It takes 5 to 10 litres to flush the toilet. You need 1,900 litres of water to grow one kilogram of rice. You need 100,000 litres of water to produce one kilogram of beef. On average, it costs $34 to provide safe and clean water for one person. About 1.1 bilion people do not have access to clean drinking water. That's about 1 in 6 people.
