The legend of the dragonfly

Many years ago, a magic dragon lived in a cave near a very quiet lake. He was very lonely because it was too quiet for a dragon. A fairy, who was living nearby, felt sorry for him and visited him every day. But once, when she knelt by the lake to drink some water she slipped and fell in. She didn't have her magic wand with her to save her and she didn't know how to swim. She shouted for help as loudly as she could. The dragon heard her from the other side of the lake. He had no time to run or fly and save her, so he blew with his magic hot fiery breath on to the lake, turning all the water into steam, and fairy into a misty-winged, sparkling insect. People call this insect a dragonfly.
