In the art gallery

Mrs. Clog: Welcome to Apple Pie Gallery! It is one of the oldest galleries in Barcelona! Visitor: When was it opened? Mrs. Clog: It was opened in 1910. A millionaire from Canada decided to invest his money in opening a gallery. At the beginning it wasn't very successful. Visitor: Why? Mrs. Clog: Mr. Burns, the owner of the gallery liked modern art. He bought extremely extravagant pictures. Some people didn't understand it. Visitor: What happened next? Mrs. Clog: Mr. Burns organized many exhibitions with famous people. He invited famous actors and actresses. More and more people started coming to the gallery. Even after the fire many people visited it every day. Visitor: What fire? Mrs. Clog: In 1967 Mr. Burn's brother tried to burn the gallery. Visitor: Why? Mrs. Clog: He was jealous. His brother was very popular and sold many paintings for quite big prices. Mr. Burn's brother lost all his money when he divorced his wife and was very angry. So one night he set the fire. Visitor: What happened next? Mrs. Clog: Most paintings were destroyed. But Mr. Burns bought the new ones and soon the gallery was opened again. Visitor: Which painting is the most expensive? Mrs. Clog: The one over there. It was painted by Samuel Berley. It costs about 2 millions of dollars. Visitor: I wonder why. I think it is just awful!
