Below you'll find the most common questions when you have a job interview. They will probably ask you and it's good to be prepared. Also we wrote some answers that you can use. Many interviews are designed not only to check if you're the best fit for the job, but also examine your spoken English. I hope these interview questions will help you prepare to get the job you've dreamed about.

Please, tell me something more about yourself?

You should talk about 2-3 minutes and then ask if they would like to hear something more. Say what you have done, keep using examples to prove your background. Experience is very useful in real-life business situations.

What is the most difficult situation you have had to face and how did you tackle it?

Be ready for this question. Select a difficult work situation which you can quickly explain. Focus on how you worked towards the solution. Describe the results and tell about the required skills. Explain how you defined the problem, what the other options were and why you selected the one you did. And remember - end on a positive note.

Could you describe your strenghts and weaknesses, please?

You should know what your strenghts are. Make a list and choose 3, which fits to you. What about weaknesses? Try to show your strengths as a weakness.

Example:

Let me start with positive qualities. I'm really good at problem-solving. I usually have good relationships with the team. I'm not afraid to make quick decisions even under pressure. And my weaknesses? I would say I want to be perfect and sometimes I spend too much time on checking what I have done. I'm also too polite and helpful and there can be some people, who use it against me.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years' time?

Focus on goal. Is it real? Can you really reach it? If 'yes' it's cool! Think how to make your vision come true. You shoud have realistic vision of how your career should look like in the next 5 years.

Example:

Within the next five years, I would like to become the best team leader in your company. I want to become an expert in managing others. I'm sure I will be prepared to take full responsibility. Here is what I'm presently doing to prepare myself for a managing position (here say what!).

Why would you like to work for our company? What benefits will you bring to our company?

Say about realistic ideas, something new and a little about your strenghts. Can you give a new quality?

Example:

I'm looking for a new challenge, more responsibility, experience and a change of surroundings. I have necessary experience and education which will be helpful for this work. I know how to cooperate with the team and I have always many ideas. I concentrate on relevant tasks and I'm sure that my passion and energy will give new quality for company and you will quckly see my potential. I'm ready to work hard and implement new ideas and projects which will be successful both for me and your company.

How much would you like to earn?

Preprare yourself. Do some research to know precisely what your expectations are. You can also say that your salary expectancy depends on the amount of responsibilities you'd have to take on. Don't be afraid to ask for more than the average industry wage. It's much better to provide your interviewer with a wide range rather than a specific sum, for example:

Example:

I know that a marketing manager doing a similar job in Berlin earns about 3200 a month. Because my job would also require organising conferences, I'd expect between 3900 and 4500 .
